Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Welding Technician with experience in machining or welding equipment. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on welding experience or be a recent welding school graduate. A basic understanding of weld quality and inspection standards is essential, along with the ability to work independently with moderate supervision. This role requires a commitment to continuous improvement and skill development, and the ability to qualify in accordance with the requirements of Section IX of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code for Automatic Welding.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Follow safety protocols and supervise experienced welders as needed.
• Operate orbital welding and related machinery.
• Prepare and align components for welds.
• Conduct visual inspection of welds for quality compliance.
• Perform minor equipment adjustments and maintenance.
• Work collaboratively with experienced welders or supervisors to meet production goals.

Essential Skills

• Experience in machining or welding equipment.
• Basic understanding of weld quality and inspection standards.
• Ability to work independently with moderate supervision.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on welding experience or recent welding school graduate.
• Capability to become qualified in accordance with the requirements of Section IX of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code for Automatic Welding.
• Experience in inventory, forklift, shipping and receiving, material handling, and packaging.

Work Environment

The work environment involves operating orbital welding systems that standardize weld quality on thin-wall stainless tubes. This role is designed to scale the workforce without requiring journeyman welders, providing an opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Chester, OH.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
