Automotive Technician

Job Summary Poquet Auto is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team in Golden Valley, Minnesota. This role is ideal for a highly skilled technician capable of performing advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and providing technical leadership within the shop. The technician plays a critical role in maintaining Poquet Auto's reputation for quality, accuracy, and integrity. Key Responsibilities Perform advanced diagnostics on drivability, electrical, engine, transmission, steering, suspension, and brake systems Accurately diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues efficiently and correctly the first time Interpret scan tool data, wiring diagrams, and technical service information Complete high-level repairs including engine, transmission, and major system repairs Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure proper operation Communicate effectively with Service Advisors regarding diagnoses, repair recommendations, and timelines Maintain detailed, accurate repair documentation Follow all safety procedures and shop policies Maintain a clean and organized work area Qualifications & Skills 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience preferred ASE Master Technician certification preferred (or equivalent experience) Strong diagnostic skills with electrical and drivability systems Proficiency with modern diagnostic equipment and scan tools Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Valid driver's license with clean driving record Own tools appropriate for an A Level Technician High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred Work Schedule & Environment Full-time schedule Team-oriented, professional work environment Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience and skill level Free health insurance Dental and vision insurance options Paid vacation/holidays 401K with company match Ongoing training and advanced technical education Why Work at Poquet Auto?
