Learn more about The Stone Clinic on our website: Position Overview The Stone Clinic is seeking a compassionate, highly organized, and clinically skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our orthopaedic practice in San Francisco. In this role, you will help deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced orthopaedic and sports medicine setting. The CMA will assist with patient consultations, support preoperative and postoperative care, phlebotomy and injections, coordinate clinical workflow, educate patients on treatment plans, and collaborate closely with providers and the clinical team to ensure an outstanding patient experience. This is a part-time, in-office position based in San Francisco, CA. Hours for the position are 8:30am – 5pm on Mondays and Thursdays; 8:30am – 5pm on some Tuesdays (to accommodate holidays). Key Responsibilities Assist with patient consultations and clinical assessments Support preoperative and postoperative patient care Skilled in phlebotomy and in-office procedure assistance Educate patients regarding treatment plans, procedures, and recovery expectations Coordinate patient care and clinic workflow Collaborate closely with physicians and the clinical team Maintain accurate patient documentation and clinical records Support office flow and provide administrative assistance as needed Deliver professional, compassionate patient care at all times Qualifications California Certified Medical Assistant (CACMA) with active California certification administered by the California Certifying Board for Medical Assistants (CCBMA) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with active California license . The following national medical assistant certifications will also be accepted: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), NHA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or NCT National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA). Certified Phlebotomy Technician I with active California license. BLS Certification Expertise in patient care, including pre- and post-operative support, care coordination, and patient education Skilled phlebotomist with the ability to assist with in-office injections and minor procedures Strong interpersonal and communication skills to ensure collaboration with patients and the healthcare team Proficiency in maintaining patient safety and compliance with healthcare regulations Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Experience in orthopaedics or sports medicine strongly preferred
