Compliance Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities Performs home inspections at each home to ensure complete physical facility compliance. Familiarizes one’s self with the rules and regulations for compliance in a residential group setting in the state of Florida. Responsible for enrolling residents in school by the close of business unless documents are missing. Takes inventory for items needed and broken in the homes and documents home repairs and maintenance records. Documents any maintenance issues, schedules repair and keeps a fiscal year record of repairs. Monitors and maintains email and database requests from residents i.e. clothing, visits, allowance, and haircuts. Coordinates and plans all residents' activities on a monthly calendar. Maintains and coordinates residents' chore list, vehicle seating charts, and credit cards. Responsible for maintaining inventory checklists, office supplies, and purchases. Prints and distributes monthly menus and completes online shopping lists for house parents. Scans and files all resident and employee documents into database. Maintains, records and uploads receipts of resident expense accounts and balances. Reviews daily and weekly staff data entries for accuracy and timely reporting. Reads and responds to all emails and messages within one business day. Checks work calendar for daily appointments and notices. Ensures proper supply and storage of cleaning supplies, food, medications, and sharp objects. Attends all staff meetings and trainings. Assists house parents with daily duties and transporting residents as needed as well as other transportation needs directed by the director of operations or the executive director. Assumes operations manager responsibilities in the event the operations manager is out. Audits first aid kits weekly and replaces items when necessary. Ensures that fire extinguishers and escape routes are posted and inspected weekly. Completes tasks assigned, daily and monthly responsibilities even if work hours exceed normal scheduled hours. Performs other related duties as assigned. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees on compliance; planning, assigning, and directing work; assisting with appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing and resolving compliance issues. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and online client database software. Education/Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field. Two years’ experience in a youth setting, preferably at least one year in a community-based program. Experience working in an authoritative position dealing with the public for at least one year is preferred.
