Receptionist

Overview Seeking qualified candidates for the position of Receptionist, at Prentiss Law & Associates Inc. This is an entry level position. Prentiss Law & Associates handles a variety of cases with offices in Redding, Susanville, Weaverville, & Chico, CA. Experience in clerical work is desirable but not required. Duties will include a variety of office tasks as needed including: scanning, printing, data entry, answering phone calls, and the like. Work will be performed at the Chico office, 196 Cohasset Dr, Ste 260. Candidates must have reliable transportation, a high school diploma and a valid driver's license. Candidates must also abide by legal requirements of client privilege and privacy. Candidates must be very proficient at working with computers and a wide variety of office software programs, including Microsoft Office, Acrobat, Google products, etc. Candidates must be organized, detail-oriented, and a proficient typer. Work will be completed during normal business hours, which range from 8am to 5pm. Compensation is an hourly wage, based on experience and qualifications. The candidate chosen will be hired as a full-time employee with benefits which include two weeks paid vacation, but will not include medical insurance or retirement. Responsibilities Answer and direct incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette. Maintain organized filing systems for documents and records. Perform clerical duties such as data entry, typing, and handling correspondence. Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable at all times. Collaborate with team members to support various office functions. Skills Proficient in office procedures and clerical tasks. Strong computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent typing skills with attention to detail. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
