DS3001 Remote Sales Manager (Located in North Carolina)

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Directs all aspects of sales of Company products. Design and implement sales strategies, forecast sales, supervise in-house sales personnel, maintain relations with independent agents, field and in-house training, advertising, printing of materials, qualify Company agents, employees, and programs in various states.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Establis and attain sales goals.


2. Hire, manage, and motivate sales personnel.


3. Oversee training of sales personnel.


4. Implement marketing strategy.


5. Maintain effective budget control of sales expenses.


6. Maintain files of in-house and competitive programs.


7. Develop and maintain effective customer relations


8. Negotiate and assure that the terms and conditions of each sale are met.


9. Coordinate, where appropriate, sales opportunities with other divisions.


10. Oversee filing, updates, and renewal of various programs.


11. Perform other duties as assigned.


12. Participate on project teams as requested.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university and five years of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

Language Skills : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write speeches, presentations, policies, and procedures. Ability to deliver speeches and presentations to top management, other employees, and/or board of directors. 

Math Skills : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, precentages, and volume.

Reasoning Skills : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Other Skills/Abilities : Basic understanding of quality control, production, ability to interpret blueprints, proficient skills in sales, marketing, and communication.
