What You'll Do

Review short-term and long-term demand for steel products and create detailed production plans to meet that demand Partner with Demand Planning to understand forecast changes and demand variability Participate in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process Prepare supply planning inputs, capacity analysis, and inventory projections for S&OP reviews Identify risks and opportunities impacting supply, inventory, service, or cost performance Recommend corrective actions to align supply plans with business objectives Analyze root causes of supply disruptions and inventory issues Maintain 26-week detailed production schedule for multiple Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steel mills located in the northeast United States Coordinate with operations teams in mills and ensure efficient sequence of production Work with schedulers to facilitate weekly production meetings with operations, logistics, and sales teams Provide forward looking analysis to adjust production to prevent over/under production Maintains data for production speeds / capacity Create and manage replenishment plans between mills and warehouse depots to support customer service objectives Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor

What You'll Need

Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment strongly preferred Experience with SAP business or functional analytics Excellent written and verbal communication skills Intermediate to advanced computer knowledge of MS office products emphasis on Advanced Excel skills Ability to lead through influence and trusted collaboration rather than through authority Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience required
