Schedule: Full-Time
Compensation: Hourly Pay + Uncapped Bonus Opportunities

About the Opportunity

McGrath Family of Dealerships is looking for an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our Customer Experience / Business Development Center (BDC) team in Cedar Rapids.

This position is a great fit for someone with experience as a Customer Service Representative, Call Center Representative, Customer Care Representative, Client Services Representative, Appointment Scheduler, Inside Sales Representative, Receptionist, or Customer Support Specialist who enjoys helping people and building relationships.

You do not need previous automotive experience. If you have a background in customer service, call centers, banking, insurance, healthcare, hospitality, retail, inside sales, or appointment scheduling, your skills can transfer successfully into this role.

Our Customer Experience Representatives communicate with customers by phone, text, email, chat, and online inquiries, answer questions, schedule appointments, provide follow-up, and help create a positive customer experience from the very first interaction.

Requirements

• 2+ years of customer service, call center, customer support, client services, inside sales, appointment scheduling, hospitality, banking, insurance, healthcare, or retail experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional and confident phone and customer service skills
• Ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers
• Experience handling inbound and outbound customer calls preferred
• Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume customer service environment
• Ability to learn and navigate CRM software, customer databases, and other technology
• Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
• Self-motivated with strong follow-up and problem-solving abilities
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
• Focused on providing an exceptional customer experience and customer satisfaction

What You'll Do

• Serve as a first point of contact for customers through inbound and outbound phone calls, email, text, chat, and online inquiries
• Provide friendly, professional, and responsive customer support
• Identify customer needs and help connect them with the appropriate sales or service team
• Schedule and confirm customer appointments
• Answer questions and provide accurate information about vehicles, service appointments, dealership promotions, and available services
• Conduct timely customer follow-up and maintain ongoing communication
• Enter and maintain accurate customer information, notes, and follow-up activities in our CRM system
• Assist with lead follow-up and appointment setting for prospective and existing customers
• Build relationships with customers and help create a positive experience throughout their interaction with McGrath
• Work closely with sales, service, and management teams to support customer satisfaction, appointment, and department goals
