Hotel Overview:

Located in the heart of downtown Fairmont New Orleans will be an impressive new addition to Fairmont’s luxury portfolio, offering 250 luxury guest rooms, four food & drink venues, a rooftop pool with expansive views of the city, more than 19,000 square feet of function space, and a 10,000 square-foot spa.

This property is destined to become an illustrious destination in the Central Business District, nearby the city’s renowned and historic French Quarter.

• Support Servers in delivering seamless, professional, and engaging poolside service.  
• Deliver food and beverage orders promptly and accurately to tables, loungers, cabanas, and designated guest areas.  
• Verify food and beverage orders for accuracy, completeness, presentation, temperature, and special requests prior to delivery.  
• Maintain knowledge of Pool Lounge menus, ingredients, allergens, preparation methods, and daily offerings.  
• Communicate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests accurately to the appropriate team members.  
• Assist Servers with clearing and resetting tables and service areas.  
• Remove used plates, glassware, utensils, towels, and service items as appropriate to the role.  
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, dining areas, poolside pathways, and guest-facing spaces.  
• Stock service stations with glassware, silverware, napkins, condiments, menus, and other supplies.  
• Safely transport trays, food, beverages, dishware, and service equipment.  
• Communicate effectively with Servers, Bartenders, Barbacks, Culinary, Stewarding, Hosts, and leadership.  
• Assist with cabana service, VIP experiences, special events, and high-volume periods.  
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests.  
• Communicate guest concerns or service issues to Servers or leadership.  
• Assist with monitoring poolside service areas for cleanliness and presentation.  
• Communicate safety, maintenance, or operational concerns promptly to leadership.  
• Maintain knowledge of Fairmont New Orleans amenities, services, dining outlets, and events.  
• Assist with opening and closing duties, stocking, cleaning, and resetting the Pool Lounge.  
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and pool-area safety procedures.  
• Maintain a polished and professional appearance.  
• Uphold Fairmont New Orleans luxury hospitality standards.  
• Perform additional duties as assigned.  

• Previous restaurant, food runner, banquet, hotel, resort, or hospitality experience preferred.  
• Luxury hotel or upscale dining experience is an asset.  
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.  
• Excellent attention to detail.  
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.  
• Ability to remain professional and composed during high-volume service.  
• Positive, energetic, and service-oriented attitude.  
• Professional appearance and polished demeanor required.  
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in warm and humid conditions.  
• Ability to safely navigate wet poolside surfaces.  
• Ability to work flexible schedules including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.  
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  
• Must possess or be able to obtain required Louisiana food safety certifications.
