Bartender - Lead

Job Summary:The Lead Bartender will be responsible to oversee the preparation, serve and be able to mix and match ingredients in order to create classic and innovative drinks in accordance with guests’ needs and expectations. The primary purpose of the Lead Bartender is to provide friendly, attentive and timely service to create an exceptional experience for all of our guests.Essential Job Functions; include but not limited to:Keeping track of bar inventory and ordering suppliesMaintaining relationships with members of the craft liquor community, such as distributors and brewersScouting popular drink trends within the communityCoordinates recipesCommunicating menu changes and additions to bar management and ownershipIntegrating new menusMaking specialty mix-ins, such as simple syrupsIntroduction of new products, marketingCreating systems for the everyday operation of the bar, such as checklists, end of night reporting, shift reviews, and updating tip sheets.Maintain positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient mannerTake beverage orders from guests, accept guest payment, process credit card chargesPrepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes as well as overseeing the accuracy of other bartenders on staffPeel, slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinksBalance the cash register at the start and close of each shiftPresent drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regardingbeveragesMaintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelvesRestock and replenish bar inventory and suppliesMaintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficientdrink preparation and promotion of beveragesAble to understand and comply with all safety regulations and rulesAssist in training of new employees.Any other job duties assignedQualifications:Excellent knowledge of serving techniques, standard cocktails and fine winesExcellent knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipesExcellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinksPossess strong organizational and multi-tasking skillsPossess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash registerHandle a fast-paced work environmentOutstanding guest services skillsBe able to communicate clearly and effectively (verbal & written)Positive attitude and excellent communication skillsPossess basic math skills and ability to handle money and operate a cashregister and POS systemProfessional presentation and positive attitudeAble to work flexible hours necessary including off hours, weekends and holidays in a 24-hour location.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
