Job Title: Press Brake Operator Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will set up and operate sheet steel laser cutters (Trumpf laser) and/or press brakes. You will also be responsible for writing and interpreting CNC programs as needed, setting up and changing over equipment tooling and dies, and inspecting parts with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, protractors, and squares.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sheet steel laser cutters and press brakes.

• Write and interpret CNC programs when required.

• Set up and changeover equipment tooling and dies.

• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, protractors, and squares.

Essential Skills

• Experience with tape measure reading.

• Ability to read blueprints.

• Proficiency in CNC Brake Press operations, including setups and programming.

• Experience in programming and precision measuring.

• Experience as a laser operator and press brake operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Trumpf laser equipment.

• Ability to work in a unionized environment.

Work Environment

Work in a large, busy shop environment that is sectioned by department. The facility is not climate-controlled, but fans and heaters are provided to manage comfort. There are three openings available, with two on the 2nd shift and one on the 3rd shift.

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.05 - $30.30/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
