Ward Clerk for GI Endoscopy Center in SW Portland (Part-Time & Temp Non-Benefited)

Job Overview Join The Oregon Clinic as a part‑time (8‑24 hours per week) Ward Clerk. This temporary position is anticipated to continue until May 31, 2027 and is non‑benefits‑eligible. The role is located at the Peterkort Centre within the Gastroenterology West Endoscopy Center in Southwest Portland. You will work with a collaborative team of patient‑focused colleagues and physicians to provide high‑value care tailored to each patient’s needs. Responsibilities Prepare and clean pre‑ and post‑procedure bays between patients. Stock and maintain supplies in patient care areas. Assemble and maintain patient‑ready bed and linen packs to support efficient patient flow. Perform or assist with endoscope reprocessing according to protocols and manufacturer guidelines. Collaborate with nursing and technical staff to support patient flow and safety. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in accordance with infection prevention standards. Participate in quality improvement, safety, and ongoing training initiatives. Other duties as assigned. Salary Hiring range based on experience and credentials: $22.65 – $30.65 per hour. Workdays & Schedule Typical hours 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday‑Friday. Total weekly hours 8‑24. Days off are to be determined. Qualifications Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare, ambulatory surgery center, outpatient clinic, environmental services, or patient support role. Ability to take initiative, work efficiently and independently while supporting patient flow and operational needs in a high‑volume outpatient setting. Ability to maintain clean, safe, and patient‑ready care spaces. Strong organizational skills to manage supplies, linens, and equipment inventories. Ability to identify and report safety, equipment, or facility concerns. Basic computer skills and ability to learn departmental systems and processes. Excellent attendance and work ethic. Positive attitude and desire to be a team player. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
