Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (Insurance Industry)

Our Firm is partnering with a Investment Holding Company that is seeking senior-level, director of FP&A executive within the Property & Casualty insurance space to lead global financial planning, forecasting, and business performance strategy for a complex, multi-entity organization.
This individual will partner closely with executive leadership and the Board, driving budgeting, KPI analytics, operational performance, and long‑range strategic planning initiatives.
Head of FP&A / Strategic Finance – Confidential Search
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead enterprise‑wide FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range strategic planning initiatives
- Partner with executive leadership and Board‑level stakeholders on financial performance and business strategy
- Develop and enhance KPI reporting, analytics, and management reporting frameworks
- Drive operational finance initiatives, process improvements, and financial transformation projects
- Support capital initiatives, M&A activity, divestitures, and enterprise performance analysis
- Oversee annual operating plans, rolling forecasts, and financial modeling across business units
- Collaborate across finance, risk, and operations teams within a complex global organization
Desired Background:
- 15+ years of progressive FP&A / finance leadership experience within Property & Casualty insurance
- Experience within admitted and/or non‑admitted insurance environments strongly preferred
- Strong executive presence with experience presenting to C‑suite and Board stakeholders
- Proven success leading large‑scale strategic finance and operational improvement initiatives
- Background operating within global, matrixed organizations and shared service environments
- Strong analytical, reporting, and business partnering capabilities
- Oracle ERP experience preferred
- Highly visible leadership role with significant interaction across executive management
- Entrepreneurial, solutions‑oriented mindset with strong change management capabilities
