Director of Finance (Head Role) @ Global FS Insurance Firm

Our client is a Global Insurance Asset Management/P&C Firm that has been in high growth and is seeking a Head of FP&A professional reporting to the CFO. This role will drive Finance Operations and work closely with stakeholders, Executive Management, Sales, Operations, and Legal.

Responsibilities:

• Drive Strategic Finance initiatives (Strategy & FP&A, etc)
• Evaluate potential new business initiatives and assist the C‑suite in execution and operations
• Drive and manage budgeting, planning, forecasting, balance sheet, cash flow, cash management, P&L, month/quarter/year‑end accounting close, and financial reports
• Lead monthly company performance meetings for senior leadership team
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to automate and accelerate the reporting process
• Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls and procedures
• Establish documentation of policies, procedures and workflow where appropriate

Skills / Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Economics is a must
• 12‑19 years of experience in Insurance
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, budgeting, planning, and revenue recognition
• In‑depth experience working with general ledger and financial analysis, including journal entries and detailed account analyses
• Experience with Financial Services and Insurance Companies
• Property & Casualty Insurance experience

Our client is a total compensation organization where you will be eligible for a base salary and discretionary performance bonus, including benefits. The estimated base salary range for this position is $250,000–$300,000 plus bonus and equity.
