Location: Remote (Must be able to commute to New York City - 51 Madison Ave)

Work Schedule: Contract (12 Months)
Travel Requirements: ~15% travel; occasional evenings/weekends
Pay Rate: $55-60/hr


Our client is seeking an experienced, strategic, and highly polished Director, Global Events to join our Marketing organization for a 12-month leave coverage . This role will lead the planning and execution of high-profile global meetings and events that strengthen our culture, elevate our brand, and drive measurable business results.

The ideal candidate is a senior-level event leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, is comfortable partnering with executive leadership, and brings both creative vision and operational discipline to every program.

While this role is remote, the selected candidate must be able to NYC approximately once every two weeks , aligned with event needs.

Key Responsibilities

Event Strategy & Execution

• Lead end-to-end planning and execution of global events including:
  • Internal leadership meetings
  • Large-scale conferences and symposiums
  • Tradeshows
  • Client hospitality and executive engagements
  • Virtual and hybrid events
• Own all event deliverables such as agendas, run-of-show documents, invitations, creative assets, gifting, and lead-generation materials
• Manage event registration platforms and virtual event tools, including Cvent
• Track and analyze registration data, engagement, and performance metrics; deliver post-event reporting and insights

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Manage external partners including creative agencies, production teams, tradeshow organizers, and hospitality vendors
• Negotiate booth placement, sponsorship packages, and marketing opportunities to maximize visibility and ROI
• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, Corporate Communications, PR, Product, Corporate Travel, and internal SMEs to ensure alignment and brand consistency

Operational Excellence

• Lead pre- and post-event briefings and capture best practices
• Maintain strong budget oversight and timeline management
• Continuously identify opportunities to innovate and elevate the global events program

Required Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in event strategy, planning, and execution
  (Financial Services, Asset Management, or Investment Management strongly preferred)
• Proven experience managing executive-level and senior leadership events
• Demonstrated success delivering large-scale conferences, tradeshows, and client hospitality programs
• Hands-on experience with Cvent (required)
• Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills
• Data-driven mindset with experience measuring event performance and ROI
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an executive-ready presence
• Strong project management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

Additional Requirements

• Ability to commute to NYC once every two weeks as required by event schedules
  (Commuting expenses are not reimbursed)
• Approximately 15% travel , with rare evening or weekend work
• High professionalism, discretion, and comfort making real-time decisions during live events
