Assembly SupervisorRoberts Sinto is currently seeking a hands-on, results-driven Assembly Supervisor to lead our team in building heavy industrial equipment and systems in Grand Ledge, MI.This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring production efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a continuous improvement mindset.Operational Leadership & PlanningPlan, prioritize, and oversee daily assembly operationsReview blueprints/prints and determine manpower, materials, and tooling needsAssign and schedule work to meet production goals and deadlinesCoordinate closely with other departments, especially Controls Assembly and Pre-AssemblyTeam Leadership & DevelopmentSupervise, train, and support a team of 5–15 employees (plus temporary staff as needed)Provide coaching, performance feedback, and technical guidanceAddress employee concerns and promote a positive, productive work environmentProcess Improvement & 5SLead and maintain 5S initiativesDevelop and implement continuous improvement plansEstablish and track performance metrics to improve efficiency and qualityQuality & Production OversightEnsure proper assembly processes and sequencing are followedTroubleshoot equipment during assembly and resolve issues with engineering/manufacturing teamsSupport equipment run-offs and assist with disassembly for shipmentSystems, Safety & ComplianceEnsure effective use of ERP systems (Syteline) and job tracking toolsMaintain equipment usage and preventive maintenance practicesEnforce safety standards and ensure compliance with ISO quality requirementsWhat We Want From YouEducation & Experience:Bachelor's degree in a related field OR3-5 years of relevant supervisory/assembly experience OREquivalent combination of education and experiencePreferred:Leadership training, seminars, or industry exposureSkills and AbilitiesStrong leadership and team management skillsAbility to read and interpret technical documents and blueprintsEffective communication across departments and with vendorsWorking knowledge of mathematical concepts (ratios, geometry, basic statistics)Ability to analyze and resolve basic problems. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or equipment, and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, extremes of heat and cold, and risk of electrical shock.
