Staff Accountant

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. This role will support accounting operations across multiple entities and industries, providing accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

· Perform daily accounting activities, including preparing journal entries and recording intercompany transactions across multiple entities.

· Review and reconcile bank accounts, line of credit, and daily financial transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.

· Analyze trial balances, balance sheets, and income statements to support accurate financial reporting.

· Maintain accurate and timely financial records in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.

· Perform monthly account reconciliations, including bank accounts, line of credit, fixed assets, loans, revenue, expenses, and intercompany balances.

· Conduct variance analysis, investigate discrepancies, and provide explanations for fluctuations.

· Assist with the preparation of quarterly financial reports, reporting packages, and supporting schedules.

· Gather financial data and prepare ad hoc reports and analyses as requested.

· Support audit and tax preparation processes by preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation.

· Assist with special projects as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience working with GAAP accounting principles.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.
• Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple deadlines and priorities.
