Job Overview The position plays a key role in developing and managing a high‑performing, cost‑effective, and compliant provider network. This role is responsible for negotiating, executing, maintaining contracts and relationships, and overseeing complex contracts (i.e., Primary Care Physician, specialist, ancillary providers, hospitals), ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and organizational objectives. It also leads initiatives to expand the provider network, supports strategic growth in managed care, and contributes to financial performance goals. Responsibilities Negotiate, execute, and maintain contracts and relationships with providers, including primary care physicians, specialists, ancillary providers, and hospitals. Oversee complex contracts and ensure alignment with regulatory standards and organizational objectives. Lead initiatives to expand the provider network and support strategic growth in managed care. Contribute to financial performance goals through effective contract management. Mentor junior staff, enhance provider relationships, and secure new partnerships while maintaining strong collaboration with existing providers and clients. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field with 4 years of relevant experience (e.g., provider contracting, contract interpretation, negotiation, client relations) or 5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Experience with Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, or Commercial provider networks. Proficiency with contract lifecycle management systems and provider databases. Knowledge of provider reimbursement methodologies (fee‑for‑service, capitation, value‑based models). Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements (CMS, DHCS, DMHC, NCQA) related to provider networks. Experience reviewing and negotiating contract language to ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements. Preferred: Healthcare experience in managed care, physician group, clinical‑based organization, or hospital/facility setting. Compensation The annual compensation range for this position is $88,641.28 to $110,801.60, based on factors such as budget, experience, skills, education, licensure, and certifications. The range is subject to change.
