Associate Attorney

Our small, women-owned general civil litigation firm is seeking an Associate Attorney. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, exposure to a diverse caseload, and develop strong advocacy skills. The ideal candidate will strive to build strong client relationships alongside experienced attorneys who value collaboration and work-life balance. Responsibilities Draft and file high-quality pleadings, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and pretrial memoranda. Conduct legal research on a variety of issues, prepare memoranda, and analyze case strategy. Prepare for and represent clients in hearings and mediations throughout Eastern Massachusetts. Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and provide support during trials. Participate in client intake and consultations. Provide compassionate, timely communication and support to clients. Manage cases from inception through resolution while meeting all relevant timelines. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in Massachusetts, in good standing with the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers Legal work experience preferred Strong research, writing, and analytical skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities A practical, creative approach to client advocacy Professionalism and ability to build client rapport Experience in preparing and drafting legal pleadings Strong interest in representing clients in court Compensation Commensurate with experience.
