Material Handler, Service Distribution

As a Material Handler, you will support the Product Distribution Warehouse within the Service Operations. You are responsible for understanding and adhering to all warehouse processes, improving inventory accuracy, and maintaining operational checks and balances for our global parts distribution. What to Expect You will work in a safety‑focused environment with a strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork. Tesla will provide forklift training and certification. What You’ll Do Accurately pick, scan, label, pack, audit, palletize, wrap, strap, and prepare outgoing materials for shipment using various methods and equipment. Assemble crates/containers and stage materials for loading onto delivery vehicles, trailers, conveyor systems, or other transport methods. Complete and process required documentation, including Inter‑company Bills of Lading, to support compliant global parts distribution. Utilize warehouse management systems to input, retrieve, update, and maintain real‑time inventory accuracy and parts data. Receive, stock, organize, and maintain inventory in correct bin locations while contributing to ongoing accuracy improvements and 5S standards. Perform general housekeeping to keep the work area clean, safe, and organized in alignment with Tesla safety and operational protocols. Safely operate material handling equipment (forklifts, tuggers, pallet jacks, flatbed carts, etc.) to load/unload, move, and transport materials between warehouse areas, production floors, and vehicles, strictly following all safety guidelines. What You’ll Bring Previous material handling experience in a production, manufacturing, warehouse, or comparable environment preferred but not required. Ability to learn new skills and adapt to new work environments. Command of the English language, both written and verbal. Open to schedule flexibility to accommodate a variety of shifts, including days, nights, overnight, weekends, and potential overtime. Comfortable driving and operating safety‑sensitive and heavy equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, pallet jacks and flatbed carts. Successful completion of hands‑on forklift certification during new hire training and maintaining certification throughout employment. Ability to maintain a safe and collaborative work environment and maintain exemplary attendance and punctuality to scheduled shifts. Essential Physical Demands Perform physically demanding work for up to 12 hours per day. Frequently lift, push and carry up to 50 lbs. Carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs. Frequently bend, lift and reach to install vehicle parts of varying size and weight overhead, accurately and within allotted timeframes. Stand and walk up to 12 hours per day, including on varied and uneven terrain. Sto’op, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods, up to 12 hours per day. Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures. Identify issues in a work process and respond to safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing. Handle and manipulate tooling and mechanically fasten bolts within required cycle time, quickly and accurately during new hire training and maintain ability throughout employment. Exposure to hazardous materials used in the painting process and ability to follow waste handling and disposal procedures. Wearing personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, hearing protection, full‑face respirators, gloves, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
