Responsibilities As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you help patients get well. You are the person who can bring their power back. In doing this, you will implement occupational therapy programs and activities, follow developed recovery plans, and deliver therapy treatments. Develop and implement occupational therapy programs and activities tailored to individual patients. Follow developed recovery plans and deliver therapy treatments. Address the whole patient, seeing them as an individual and adjusting care accordingly. Collaborate with peers and refer patients to other providers as needed. Ensure patients and their families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards. Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.
