Grade 105 Job Type: Officer of Administration Regular/Temporary: Regular Hours Per Week: 35 Salary Range: $125,000 - $133,000 The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical care in support of our Gastroenterology team and the Pediatric Intestinal Rehabilitation Program. Options will be discussed during the interview process Responsibilities Collaborative care of children with a range of general gastroenterology diagnoses with a specialized focus on intestinal rehabilitation in children with high medical complexity. Clinical Conduct routine and urgent outpatient visits with scope of practice including collecting history, performing physical examinations, making clinical assessments and decisions. Assessment, management and education related to: enteral nutrition devices, including nasogastric, gastrostomy, and jejunostomy tubes central venous catheters including dressing changes and blood draws Communication with patient/families between visits (eg, acute symptom management, results discussions) Discharge planning and patient education for patients referred by inpatient service Cross-coverage of physicians and rotating phone triage shared with other NPs Care coordination with home care agencies including specialty pharmacies, durable medical equipment suppliers, home nursing agencies, schools. Administrative Coordinate care with members of a multidisciplinary team, other subspecialists and pediatricians. Develop and utilize protocols for safe delivery of patient care and efficient operations of Division. Order medication, nutritional products, and supplies on behalf of physician providers Secure insurance authorizations and approvals. Other duties as assigned. Possibility of one day remote work after a minimum of six months. Minimum Qualifications Requires Master’s degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus one to two years of related experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Pediatrics and/or Pediatric Gastroenterology. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual Spanish/English. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Other Requirements Current NYS NP License, maintain and renew when necessary (NP’s are Required to have a NYS license to qualify for the position). Current NYS RN License. NP Board Certification. DEA License. BCLS and ACLS certification. Able to meet New York-Presbyterian Hospital credentialing requirements.
