Job Description

Your Responsibilities

Responsible for generating sales of our diverse range of commercial building products to prospective commercial construction clients. The Commercial Outside Sales Rep will play a crucial role in expanding our commercial market presence building strong client relationships and achieving sales targets through direct sales activities and coordination with branch support teams.

• Identify and target potential clients within the commercial construction industry to promote and sell our building products.

• Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs preferences and industry trends to tailor sales strategies effectively.

• Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline by identifying leads qualifying prospects and following up on opportunities.

• Deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrations to highlight the features benefits and value propositions of our building products.

• Collaborate closely with the internal sales team branch management product managers and technical experts to ensure accurate product information is provided to clients.

• Build and nurture strong long-lasting relationships with clients by understanding their requirements and offering tailored solutions.

• Negotiate pricing terms and contracts with clients ensuring a win-win outcome for both parties.

• Provide exceptional post-sales support addressing client inquiries concerns and ensuring satisfaction.

• Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets contributing to the overall revenue growth of the organization.

• Keep abreast of industry developments competitive landscape and emerging trends to identify new sales opportunities.

• Communicate and coordinate proactively with Branch Support teams to ensure effective and successful support of material sales and deliveries driving customer satisfaction and repeat business.

• Any other duty task or responsibilities as assigned.

Your Skills

• Proven track record of successful outside sales experience within the commercial construction building products industry.

• Strong knowledge of commercial building products materials and construction processes.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse clients and build rapport.

• Self-motivated and driven to achieve and exceed sales goals.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively prioritizing tasks and maintaining a disciplined sales approach.

• Proficiency in using CRM software to manage leads opportunities and sales activities.

• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory to meet clients and attend industry events.

Your Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.

• If operating a vehicle for company purposes a valid drivers license is required.

• Three to five (3-5) years in outside sales in commercial construction markets.

• Building industry knowledge required.

• Experience working with commercial construction companies required.

Education

• High School/Equivalent.

• A bachelors degree in business marketing engineering or a related field (preferred).

Travel Requirements

Amount of Travel Required: Up to 75%

Physical Requirements

This role requires prolonged standing and repetitive motions including bending stooping pushing and pulling. Role also requires good hand-eye coordination hand dexterity and physical strength. The position involves lifting up to 50 pounds depending on the specific job duties.
