GIS Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Rules & Standards Associate I to support compliance and regulatory activities related to reliability, security, safety, and technical standards. This role will assist with documentation, audits, compliance tracking, data validation, and reporting to help ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong analytical skills, experience working with data, and an interest in compliance, regulatory operations, GIS, or utility-related environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain compliance documentation, audit materials, and regulatory support records.
• Collect, organize, and validate evidence required for audits, reviews, and regulatory filings.
• Review operational logs, records, and technical data to verify compliance with established standards and procedures.
• Maintain compliance tracking tools, databases, and documentation repositories.
• Support internal and external audits by gathering and validating required documentation.
• Monitor updates to technical, reliability, security, and regulatory standards and communicate relevant changes to stakeholders.
• Assist with compliance reporting, self-certifications, and other regulatory submissions.
• Participate in compliance training, risk assessments, and process improvement initiatives.
• Follow established procedures for documentation, evidence management, and reporting activities.
• Identify potential compliance concerns and escalate findings to senior team members.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience working with Microsoft Excel, including data review and analysis.
• Experience using ArcGIS.
• Ability to review data accurately and maintain organized records.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI and/or Smartsheet.
• Experience supporting compliance, regulatory, audit, documentation, or reporting functions.
• Exposure to utility, energy, engineering, operations, GIS, or technical environments.
• Experience working with large datasets and documentation repositories.
