Position Overview: The Controls Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting control systems at our client’s Monroe, NC facility. While controls work is an important aspect of this role, the position also involves hands‑on work across various industrial maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will be someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty, has a strong background in industrial maintenance, and is looking for a long‑term career with growth potential. A Six Sigma Green Belt or higher is preferred, as continuous improvement is a key focus within the company. Responsibilities: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair control systems to ensure efficient operation of manufacturing equipment. Perform general maintenance tasks, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system repairs. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, applying Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes and reduce downtime. Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during maintenance activities. Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of equipment performance and maintenance actions. Qualifications: Hands‑on experience in industrial maintenance, with a focus on control systems. Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred. Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills. Willingness to perform a variety of tasks, including non‑controls related maintenance work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
