Position Summary

Diverse Agile Solutions is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Microsoft 365 (M365) to support an M365 team responsible for both operational services and project-based initiatives.

This position combines hands-on project management, Scrum Master facilitation, and operational coordination . The successful candidate will use Kanban methodology to manage workflow, facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure M365 projects and operational activities are delivered efficiently.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced enterprise IT environment where priorities can shift quickly and multiple projects, operational requests, incidents, and service commitments must be managed simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

Agile / Scrum Master Facilitation

• Facilitate daily stand-up meetings and ensure team alignment on priorities.
• Manage and optimize the team's Kanban board and workflow.
• Establish and monitor appropriate Work in Progress (WIP) limits.
• Identify and remove impediments and blockers affecting team productivity.
• Coach team members on Agile and Kanban principles, practices, and continuous improvement.
• Facilitate retrospectives and help identify and implement process improvements.
• Monitor workflow and Agile/Kanban metrics to improve predictability and delivery.

Project Management

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver Microsoft 365-related projects on schedule and within scope.
• Develop project schedules, resource plans, milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate activities across IT teams, business units, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Track project progress, issues, risks, dependencies, and action items.
• Provide clear and timely status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Facilitate project meetings and maintain appropriate project documentation.
• Ensure effective knowledge transfer and transition of completed initiatives into operational support.
• Manage competing priorities while maintaining visibility into project and operational commitments.

M365 Operational Management

• Oversee day-to-day operational activities supporting Microsoft 365 services.
• Prioritize and triage incoming service requests, incidents, and operational work.
• Monitor and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and operational performance metrics.
• Coordinate maintenance windows and planned service activities.
• Support change management processes and ensure appropriate coordination and documentation.
• Assist with capacity planning, resource allocation, and workload balancing.
• Coordinate operational activities across Microsoft 365 and related enterprise technology platforms.

Required Qualifications

Professional Experience

• 5–7 years of experience in IT project management, Scrum Master, Agile delivery, or a closely related role.
• Demonstrated experience managing project-based and operational work simultaneously .
• Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies within a Kanban environment .
• Experience working with cross-functional IT teams and enterprise stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced technology environment.

Microsoft 365 Knowledge

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including:

• Exchange Online
• SharePoint Online
• Microsoft Teams
• OneDrive
• Microsoft Copilot
• Microsoft 365 administration and enterprise service management concepts

Email Security

• Experience with enterprise email security and mail-flow management solutions such as Proofpoint or comparable platforms.

Agile / Project Management

• Strong understanding of Kanban methodology , including workflow management and WIP limits.
• Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, retrospectives, and planning sessions.
• Experience using project and Agile management platforms such as GitLab and/or Jira .
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Strong risk management, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Demonstrated servant-leadership approach and ability to facilitate productive teams.

Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are highly desirable:

• PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification.
• ITIL Foundation v4 certification.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for Microsoft 365 automation.
• Experience working with the Microsoft Graph API .
• Experience supporting or managing hybrid cloud environments .
• Experience with enterprise IT service management and change management processes.
• Experience managing Microsoft 365 migrations, implementations, upgrades, or modernization initiatives.
