Compensation: Competitive Annual Salary + Performance Bonuses + 2 Weeks Paid Time Off (PTO)

Schedule: Full-Time, Wednesday through Saturday (Open & Close Shifts)

LX BBQ serves Texas-style craft barbecue in the heart of Lexington, KY. We are a locally owned, fast-paced, high-energy restaurant built on standard-setting smoked meats, signature house sauces, and unmatched hospitality.

We operate on a true "all-hands-on-deck" culture. We don’t have managers who sit in a back office with a clipboard in hand—our leaders put in the elbow grease, work side-by-side with the team, and take total pride in the operation. From slicing brisket to ordering behind the counter to taking out the trash at the end of the night, everyone pitches in to keep LX BBQ running at peak performance.

What You’ll Do:

• Active Team Leadership: Lead by example on the floor every single day. Train, mentor, and motivate hourly staff to maintain quick, friendly, high-quality service.
• Front-of-House & Counter Operations: Serve as the face of the restaurant, engage with guests, operate the register/POS, and step behind the counter to slice meats (brisket, turkey, ribs) to order.
• Opening & Closing Execution: Manage daily opening and closing procedures Wednesday through Saturday, ensuring the facility is fully prepped, secured and ready for operations.
• Flawless Cleanliness & Health Standards: Maintain rigorous hygiene, cleanliness, and organization throughout FOH and service areas to keep us consistently ahead of Health Department requirements.
• Operational Drive: Help streamline daily workflow, manage counter throughput during peak hours, and assist with supporting catering fulfillment when needed.
  

Who You Are:

• A Team Player First: You believe no job is beneath you. You’re ready to roll up your sleeves, mop floors, bus tables, unload stock, and do whatever it takes to support your team.
• Experienced in Hospitality: A culinary background or prior restaurant/food service management experience is strongly preferred.
• Hands-On & Engaged: You excel in front of guests and behind the counter, bringing high energy and a positive attitude into every shift.
• Growth-Minded: You are eager to help build and scale a locally-owned Kentucky brand with a passionate local following.
• Safety & Quality Focused: You have high personal standards for sanitation, food safety, and orderliness.

Requirements

• Active Certified Food Manager permit (or willingness to obtain one prior to start date/within 30 days).
• Availability to work full day/evening shifts Wednesday through Saturday.
• Ability to pass a standard background check.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs and handle active kitchen/FOH environments.
