Shop ForemanThe Shop Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily shop operations in a fast-paced, high-volume Chevrolet-Buick-GMC dealership. This role serves as the technical leader for the service department, ensuring efficient workflow, quality repairs, and adherence to GM standards. The Shop Foreman supports technicians through coaching, diagnostics assistance, and process management while driving productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.Shop Operations & WorkflowManage and optimize daily workflow in a high-volume service environmentAssign repair orders based on technician skill level and workloadMonitor cycle time, productivity, and efficiency to meet or exceed dealership targetsEnsure proper dispatching and prioritization of work, including warranty and internal repairsTechnical LeadershipProvide advanced diagnostic and repair support to techniciansServe as the escalation point for complex vehicle issuesEnsure repairs are completed correctly the first time and in compliance with GM standardsStay current on Chevrolet-Buick-GMC and GM technical bulletins, recalls, and service updatesQuality ControlPerform or oversee quality inspections before vehicle deliveryEnsure warranty repairs meet GM documentation and audit requirementsReduce comebacks and improve overall repair qualityConsistently exceed GM Net Promoter Score (NPS) benchmarks.Team DevelopmentMentor, coach, and train technicians to improve skill levels and certificationsSupport GM training initiatives and ASE advancementPromote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamworkSafety & ComplianceEnforce dealership safety policies and OSHA standardsMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient shop environmentEnsure proper tool usage and equipment maintenanceCollaborationWork closely with Service Advisors, Parts Department, and ManagementAssist with estimating, technician productivity tracking, and problem resolutionSupport customer satisfaction efforts when technical explanations are requiredWe’re looking for a self-starter who meets the following qualifications:Required QualificationsMinimum of 10 years of experience in a high-volume automotive repair shopProven leadership experience as a Lead Technician, Shop Foreman, or similar roleStrong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal skills with a servant leadership styleMonday-Friday and Saturday availability.Preferred QualificationsGM dealership experience strongly preferredGM Master Technician or equivalent certifications a plusASE Master Technician certification preferredExperience with GM warranty procedures, documentation, and auditsFamiliarity with dealership DMS systems (Tekion, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc.)Physical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and work in a shop environment for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsComfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven settingHere’s how we take care of you (and your loved ones):Medical, dental, and vision benefitsVoluntary benefits availablePaid time off upon hirePaid company holidays401(k) with conditional employer match after 6 months of employmentGrowth potentialAutomotive discountsIf you are qualified, you will be considered for this position:An Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer M/F/D/V.
