Job Description Job Description People Operations & Talent Coordinator Position Overview The People Operations & Talent Coordinator plays a key role in supporting our growing organization and ensuring our people operations run efficiently across multiple locations. This role is responsible for day-to-day HR administration, recruiting, onboarding, employee support, compliance, and operational coordination. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly organized, proactive, people-oriented, and excited to help build scalable systems and processes inside a dynamic company. Key Responsibilities People Operations & HR Administration Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, HRIS systems, and PTO tracking Prepare offer letters, onboarding packets, confidentiality agreements, and employee documentation Support benefits administration, workers’ compensation documentation, and insurance updates Assist with HR policy updates, SOPs, and employee handbook revisions Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws Recruiting & Onboarding Post job openings and coordinate recruiting efforts across multiple platforms Screen resumes, conduct initial candidate interviews, and coordinate hiring manager interviews Conduct reference checks and manage pre-employment paperwork Lead onboarding for new hires and help ensure a smooth employee experience from day one Employee Support & Internal Communication Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding HR processes, policies, and benefits Help foster a positive and collaborative company culture Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and internal communications Payroll & Reporting Support Assist with timesheet verification and payroll preparation Maintain accurate HR reporting and employee status updates Track PTO, leaves of absence, and employee changes across departments Operations & Project Coordination Support leadership with HR projects, process improvements, and system implementation initiatives Help build scalable HR and operational structures as the company continues to grow Coordinate trainings, certifications, safety documentation, and compliance tracking for warehouse and corporate teams Qualifications Required 6+ years of HR administration, HR coordination, or people operations experience Strong understanding of HR best practices and basic labor law compliance Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail Ability to manage confidential information professionally and discreetly Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems Self-starter with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities Preferred Experience supporting multi-location organizations Experience in wholesale, retail, supply chain, logistics, or consumer goods industries Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems Experience working in fast-paced entrepreneurial or high-growth environments Why Join Us Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding company Collaborative and entrepreneurial work environment Hands-on role with meaningful impact across the organization Exposure to operations, leadership, recruiting, and company growth initiatives Competitive compensation based on experience Location: Sun Valley, CA Schedule: Full-Time, In-Office Company Description About Us We are a fast-growing decorative lighting and home décor company serving major national retailers, designers, builders, and hospitality partners across North America.
