As a Security Officer Full Time Vehicle Patrol in FAIRFAX, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Professional at a utility location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. You will respond to security-related concerns and contribute to a dependable operation while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a utility operations location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, perimeter access points, and utility infrastructure to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; contact Allied Universal leadership and emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• This is a primarily driving post.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
