That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands‑on experience, or work toward a full‑time career with the industry leader. Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Friday 05:00 PM – 11:30 PM Saturday 05:00 PM – 11:30 PM How This Role Works: Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six‑month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a busy retail location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including documenting details and communicating with local law enforcement when appropriate for an armed post. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entrances, exits, and high‑traffic areas to help deter theft, trespassing, and/or disorderly conduct while maintaining a professional presence. Support store personnel and visitors by addressing concerns, providing directions, and reporting security‑related hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Level III Armed Security License is required in Texas only. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
