As an Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial processes and ensuring accurate cost and inventory accounting in a thriving on-site environment. This position offers the opportunity to lead accounting operations, enhance process efficiencies, and support business decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Bonus: Working history in a semi-automated accounting environment. Responsibilities: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger activities. Manage inventory and cost accounting, ensuring accurate tracking of SKUs and manufacturing costs. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards. Develop, implement, and maintain internal accounting policies and controls specific to a manufacturing environment. Analyze cost structures and provide insights on cost reduction and process improvement opportunities. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning with reliable data and analysis. Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to achieve departmental goals and professional growth. Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Must-Have Skills: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred). 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including accounting management roles in a manufacturing setting. Strong expertise in inventory and cost accounting, including SKU tracking and costing methodologies. Thorough knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance. Proficient in managing AP, AR, and general ledger activities. Experienced with a semi-automated accounting environment. Nice-to-Have Skills: Previous experience with ERP systems or accounting software commonly used in manufacturing. Advanced Excel and data analysis skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Experience in implementing or optimizing internal financial controls.
