Make a meaningful impact supporting young learners as an Intervention Specialist in Geauga County, OH. Two contract positions are available, both starting as soon as possible and continuing through May 31st. This is an excellent opportunity to work with K-2nd grade students in self-contained classrooms with a low student-to-teacher ratio and focused support for special education needs.

Details:

• 7-hour workdays, totaling 35 hours per week
• Hours: 7:30 am to 3:00 pm
• One position focuses on mild to moderate needs; the other on moderate to severe
• Each classroom is capped at 8 students, ensuring personalized instruction

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Valid Special Education licensure, with credentials as an Intervention Specialist (mild-moderate and/or moderate-severe)
• Experience teaching or supporting students in early elementary grades is highly valued
• Strong classroom management and individualized instructional skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Develop and adapt lesson plans tailored to individual education plans (IEPs)
• Implement evidence-based instructional strategies for students with a variety of learning needs
• Monitor student progress and regularly report results
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Support each student’s social, emotional, and academic growth
