Payments QA Engineer

Job Title: QA Engineer Banking / Payments



Location: Plano, TX

Experience: 8+ years total IT experience, with 4 6 years of hands-on Test Automation

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead test strategy and automation for complex banking/payment applications.
• Build reusable automation frameworks and accelerators.
• Develop and review automation code and mentor QA engineers.
• Manage test data, execution, defect tracking, and test reporting.
• Ensure end-to-end traceability from requirements to test coverage.
• Test payment flows including Cards, ACH, Wires, RTP and FedNow .
• Validate ISO 20022, ISO 8583 and SWIFT payment messages.
• Test reconciliation, chargebacks, refunds, and complete transaction lifecycles.
• Validate system correctness, security, idempotency, and high-volume processing.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, business, and distributed teams.
• Provide quality status, risks, and release-readiness updates to stakeholders.
