Pay: $31.25 – $36.50 per hour (based on experience)

Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Reports To: Director of Purchasing

We're looking for a hands-on General Mechanic to keep our fleet running strong and our warehouse and yard organized and safe.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Fleet Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing the company's fleet of vehicles and equipment, keeping the warehouse and yard clean, organized, and operational, and supporting the team with deliveries as needed. This is a critical, hands-on role that keeps our crews on the road and our jobsites supplied.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as the company's in-house mechanic, performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on the company vehicle fleet
• Schedule and track preventive maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, brake service, fluid checks) to minimize vehicle downtime
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on trucks and equipment; coordinate outside repairs when needed
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records for all company vehicles
• Act as warehouse lead — organize inventory, tools, and materials for efficient day-to-day operations
• Keep the yard and warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Assist with loading, unloading, and delivering materials and equipment to job sites as needed
• Monitor and maintain shop tools and equipment in safe, working conditions
• Support ordering and tracking of parts and supplies related to fleet maintenance
• Always uphold all company safety policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience as a mechanic, ideally with fleet, diesel, or light/medium-duty truck experience
• Working knowledge of engine, brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools safely and effectively
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical work in a shop and yard environment
• Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
• ASE certification a plus, but not required
