Business Services Rep II
Under direct supervision, the Business Services Representative II (BSRII) assists clients in locating appropriate employment opportunities and supports employers in hiring qualified candidates. The BSR II evaluates client/candidate employability potential, develops employer relationships, and ensures successful job placements. This role serves both candidates and employers equally, focusing on matching professional and skilled candidates with appropriate job opportunities. The position supports all employment programs within JCFS that are helping clients secure employment in the community.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Manage existing employer relations, develop new business relationships, and oversee the applicant tracking, candidate screening, and submission process.
- Understand employers' needs and access necessary information to place clients/candidates in successful environments.
- Deepens relationships with businesses for long-term partnerships beyond hiring.
- Facilitate presentations and/or workshops for employer education on general disability topics as well as employing individuals with disabilities.
- Utilize business knowledge, teamwork, and insights about client/candidate skills to encourage retention and job stability.
- Evaluate client/candidate marketability, actively promote clients/candidates to companies and submit appropriate candidates to employers.
- Coordinate interviews and follow up with clients/candidates and employers.
- Work collaboratively with staff to assess client/candidate potential, including resume preparation and interview readiness.
- Identify suitable job openings using existing agency job leads, networking, cold calling, and researching new opportunities.
- When appropriate, engage employers to create customized employment opportunities that benefit both the employer and the client/candidate.
- Conduct face-to-face and phone outreach with employers to introduce and explain agency/program services, describe client populations, and identify job opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and updated records of employer and client contacts, including follow-up communications.
- Gather and assess all pertinent information about clients/candidates, including employment restrictions, qualifications, and experience.
- Distribute job leads and share relevant employment information with agency staff.
- Assists with recruiting JVS Business Advisory Committee (BAC) members. Presents to the BAC and collaborates with members on networking events and other opportunities, as appropriate.
- Represent JCFS and its programs in a positive manner to both internal and external contacts. May represent JVS placement services to community collaboratives with the goal of assisting with employment opportunities. Collaborates with other community resources to expand business partnerships.
- Comply with all agency policies and procedures, including prescribed safety protocols.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
- Minimum five years of experience in recruitment, staffing, workforce development, or sales.
- Proven experience in developing long-term productive relationships with businesses in working with persons with disabilities.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation to locations that may not be accessible via public transportation.
- Fluency in a second language is highly desirable.
- Ability to effectively present information to groups, employers, and community partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other applicant tracking or customer relationship management tools.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently while meeting performance goals.
- Ability to conceptualize and implement partnerships with employers.
- Ability to produce and present performance reports.
- Strong knowledge of resume best practices, interviewing techniques, and hiring processes.
Preferred:
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities required and/or refugee and immigrant populations is preferred.
