TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Hazard, Kentucky, 41701!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current experience in a step down/PCU setting. License: Active Kentucky or compact nursing license required. Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred. - Experience with Meditech EMR preferred. - Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:5. - Flu vaccine required; declinations not accepted. Description: This position is for a 34-bed step down/PCU unit. The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of current experience. Patient care ratios are 1:5. Floats may be required within the scope of practice. Candidate must work every other weekend. Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated. Candidates are expected to be flexible with their scheduling. Travelers must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered. All facilities work a scheduling model of 36/48 hours for a two-week pay period. Daily patient care involves various diagnoses and interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, phlebotomy, and pharmacy. The nurse will provide care for adult and geriatric patients. Experience with cardiac telemetry, central line management, and post-operative care is essential. Candidates must be able to manage various skills including medication administration, wound care, and telemetry monitoring.
