Metal Grader/Inspector

·         $21/Hour

·         Manchester, NH

·         Monday – Friday

·         First Shift, 6:30am – 4:15pm

Duties:

·         Perform visual inspections of incoming metal materials to determine type, grade, and acceptability based on company standards.

·         Interact directly with customers to answer questions and explain grading decisions in a respectful, professional manner.

·         Direct accepted materials to the appropriate processing area and refer customers to the office for transaction processing.

·         Physically handle and move metal items as needed for proper evaluation, staging, or sorting.

·         Work outside in varying weather conditions; must be comfortable with year-round outdoor work.

·         Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all safety protocols and procedures.

·         Assist with general yard duties as needed, including organizing scrap, supporting drop-offs, or loading/unloading materials.

Requirements:

·         Someone dependable, customer-service oriented, and comfortable engaging with a variety of people.

·         Must enjoy working outdoors and be physically capable of handling metal materials and standing for long periods.

·         Quick learner with good judgment who can make accurate decisions on the fly.

·         Friendly attitude, team player, and not afraid to get their hands dirty.

·         Prior experience in recycling, scrap metal, or physical labor is a plus—but we’re happy to train the right person.

·         Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely in a fast-paced environment.
