Hardware Design EngineerWe are seeking a talented and driven Hardware Design Engineer to join our innovative team in Vernon Hills, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design and development of mixed signal hardware systems, with a primary focus on hardware board design. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, reliable, and scalable hardware solutions.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop mixed signal circuitry, including analog and digital components.Select and specify appropriate components and parts based on design requirements.Lead and contribute to hardware board design, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and prototype validation.Perform testing, debugging, and verification of hardware to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Work collaboratively with software, mechanical, and test engineers to support seamless hardware-software integration.Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and validation reports.Stay current with emerging hardware technologies and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Proven experience in mixed signal circuit design.Strong understanding of PCB layout principles, hardware debugging, and validation techniques.Proficient in using hardware design and simulation tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, SPICE).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.Experience with high-speed digital design, signal integrity, and power integrity analysis.Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., FCC, CE) and EMI/EMC design considerations.Experience working in regulated industries or with product certification processes.
