Overview Dave & Buster’s offers a challenging environment with flexible schedules suitable for students and others. The Line Cook is responsible for creating an exceptional culinary experience for our guests by preparing and presenting our menu while ensuring food safety and quality. Responsibilities Deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks, and games in an ideal environment for fun and celebrations. Keep the immediate supervisor promptly informed of all problems or unusual matters, and take corrective action or suggest alternative courses of action as necessary. Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures. Safely and correctly operate all kitchen equipment. Use all chemicals properly and in the correct quantities for safety and cost control. Ensure that all products are stored properly in the correct location at the appropriate levels at all times. Prepare and serve food that meets all quality indicators and guest expectations. Sell food within recommended time frames to meet guest expectations. Prepare and cook all food items by recipe and to specification. Control costs by following prep sheets and eliminating waste. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas. Maintain station cleanliness and sanitation, including mats, floors, walls, and drains. Empty kitchen trash and clean and maintain trash cans. Assist other team members as needed or when business demands dictate. Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other team members to promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate that supports morale, productivity, and efficiency. Be friendly, smile frequently, and work flexible hours including days, nights, and weekends as required. Qualifications Previous kitchen experience at a hotel or restaurant preferred but not required. Ability to clearly communicate with other team members. Disciplined and self‑motivated. Dress in accordance with dress guidelines, looking neat, clean and professional at all times. Must be at least 18 years of age. Physical Demands Work in a noisy, fast‑paced environment with distracting conditions. Stand for long periods, move about the facility, lift and carry up to 30 pounds, walk or stand 100% of the shift, and reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep, and wipe frequently.
