Procurement Specialist III (L3) Employment Type: Contract (Potential for Direct Hire Conversion) Target Bill Rate: $54.60/hour Work Schedule: 9/80 Schedule Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizenship Required (No Dual Citizenship) Join a High-Impact Procurement and Supply Chain Team We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist III (L3) to support critical purchasing, sourcing, subcontract management, and supplier performance activities within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program teams to ensure the timely acquisition of essential materials, components, and services that drive operational success. The ideal candidate will have strong procurement experience, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven ability to manage supplier relationships while maintaining compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Procure critical-path materials, components, equipment, and services that support manufacturing, engineering, and program objectives. Manage assigned commodities, suppliers, and subcontracts to ensure cost, quality, and delivery expectations are achieved. Serve as the primary liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders, including Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Program Management teams. Create, issue, and administer various contract types, including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time & Materials (T&M), and related purchasing agreements. Lead supplier selection activities, including sourcing evaluations, cost and price analysis, fact-finding efforts, and formal supplier negotiations. Monitor supplier performance and proactively manage delivery schedules to support production requirements. Collaborate with suppliers to mitigate risks and ensure on-time delivery of critical materials and services. Review, negotiate, and manage contract modifications, terms and conditions, and procurement agreements, including End User License Agreements (EULAs). Interpret engineering drawings, component specifications, and technical requirements to support accurate purchasing decisions. Maintain procurement records and documentation in compliance with company procedures, policies, and applicable FAR requirements. Conduct purchase order file audits and support procurement compliance activities, including peer documentation reviews. Participate in departmental, operational, and enterprise-wide continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or subcontract administration experience, OR Graduate degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience, OR A minimum of 8 years of related procurement or purchasing experience in lieu of a degree. Strong communication, negotiation, and supplier relationship management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to process compliance. Preferred Qualifications 4+ years of purchasing experience within an ERP/MRP-driven manufacturing environment. Demonstrated success conducting supplier negotiations and sourcing activities. Experience working in a government contracting or FAR-regulated procurement environment preferred. Knowledge of procurement contracts, subcontract administration, commercial agreements, and terms and conditions management. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Understanding of engineering documentation, technical specifications, and product configuration management.
