VP, Industry Strategy

The VP, Industry Strategy leads strategy for Acxiom's auto and travel verticals across both direct clients and agency partners. The role connects industry priorities to Acxiom's data, identity, and solution capabilities, shaping go to market strategy and supporting the pursuits that grow revenue in these categories. This role works across the full relationship, from direct client engagements to the agencies that sit between Acxiom and its brands. It brings industry knowledge into deal strategy, helps build the business case behind each opportunity, and stays close enough to delivery to make sure what gets sold can be built well.COMPETENCIES Industry Strategy: Own the strategic approach for the auto and travel verticals and keep it current with market and client dynamics. Solution Selling: Match Acxiom's data, identity, and partner capabilities to real business problems and advance opportunities toward revenue. Agency and Direct Partnership: Work fluidly across both direct client relationships and the agencies that represent them. Client Relationship Building: Develop trusted, senior level relationships and serve as a strategic resource rather than a transactional contact. Cross Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, delivery, and sales teams to shape proposals and delivery models that can be executed with confidence. Executive Communication: Build and deliver compelling client facing narratives around value and return on investment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead industry strategy for the auto and travel verticals across direct and agency relationships. Identify and prioritize revenue opportunities and connect them to Acxiom's capabilities. Develop tailored solution strategies that address the most pressing needs of clients in these categories. Build the business case and return on investment narrative behind each pitch. Partner with product and delivery teams to make sure proposed solutions can be delivered well. Support client engagements such as business reviews and deal pursuits. Provide client driven feedback to inform Acxiom's product and solution roadmap. Deliver high impact presentations that communicate Acxiom's differentiators and value. WHAT WILL SET YOU APART Ten (10) to twelve (12) years of experience in industry strategy, solution selling, or client strategy, ideally within auto, travel, or adjacent data and martech industries. Experience working across both direct clients and agency partners. Strong background in data driven marketing, identity, and activation strategy. Demonstrated success translating client needs into revenue generating solutions. Executive communication skills, with a track record of building trusted client relationships. Strong critical thinking, financial acumen, and writing skills. Ability to travel as needed to support client engagements and planning.
