Description
- Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized evaluations and observational methods.
- Create tailored intervention strategies that target immediate goals while addressing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing necessities.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on improving language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
- Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to build comprehensive care frameworks.
- Provide educational resources and support for patients and their families to ensure progress continues beyond clinical appointments.
- Support occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring an uninterrupted treatment experience.
- Document care and progress accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to all state, federal, and institutional regulations.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and peer engagement to stay updated with industry advancements.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) credential from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic practices for all ages, combined with a robust understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills when engaging with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Adaptability in therapy techniques cultural and linguistic differences.
- Strong clinical discernment and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in using electronic medical records and comprehensive documentation protocols.
