Description

• Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized evaluations and observational methods.
• Create tailored intervention strategies that target immediate goals while addressing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing necessities.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on improving language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to build comprehensive care frameworks.
• Provide educational resources and support for patients and their families to ensure progress continues beyond clinical appointments.
• Support occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring an uninterrupted treatment experience.
• Document care and progress accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to all state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Commit to ongoing professional development and peer engagement to stay updated with industry advancements.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) credential from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
