Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics using both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Craft individualized treatment plans addressing immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions concentrating on communication, fluency, language, voice, and swallowing.
• Seamlessly coordinate with a multidisciplinary team - including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians - to devise unified care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond the therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to maintain consistent care throughout treatment.
• Ensure meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with all relevant guidelines.
• Stay updated on advancements in speech pathology through continuous learning and collaborative efforts with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
