Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics employing standardized assessments alongside keen observational techniques.
• Create individualized therapeutic plans tailored to fulfilling both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing necessities.
• Deliver direct speech therapy interventions focusing on speech clarity, language mastery, fluency, vocal quality, and swallowing techniques.
• Engage in collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish comprehensive care approaches.
• Provide educational resources and guidance for patients and families to foster progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Participate in provisional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to ensure continuity throughout the treatment journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaborative networking.

Education Requirements

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications Needed

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within the first 30 days of employment.
