- Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized testing and observational strategies.
- Create tailored treatment plans that tackle immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
- Deliver focused one-on-one therapy sessions that enhance communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing functions.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, to craft unified patient care strategies.
- Empower patients and their families with educational resources that foster progress in their daily lives.
- Participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions when necessary, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
- Document patient progress promptly and accurately in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Stay informed about new developments within the field through ongoing professional growth and networking with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment.
- Strong expertise in evidence-based practices for all age groups and a robust understanding of developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
