Learn more about Olympic Steel at iamolympicsteel.com.The CNC Machine Operator (HAAS) is an operations team member with the primary goal of satisfying customer requirements of quality, and delivery, by operating CNC machining centers in a safe and efficient manner. The duties include the operation of CNC machining centers that follow industry standards with regards to program edits and setting up of tooling. Secondary deburring and packaging of finished parts, along with moving products to appropriate locations via appropriate equipment (i.e. forklifts) is required. Company forklift training is provided. Newer HAAS machining centers with integrated probing and network communications. Part sizes range from small (less than 1/4lb) to large (2000lbs).Qualifications:2+ years experience operating CNC machining (milling) centers working with large parts in a heavy manufacturing environment2 year technical degree in machining is preferredAble to edit programs and adjust fixture & cutter comp; Tool Offsets, RPM & Feed Rates, change and adjust program details such as X-Y-Z locationsOverall understanding of optimizing CNC programs as neededGeneral computer skillsIntermediate Knowledge of HAAS controlsExperience with various measuring tools (i.e. micrometers, calipers, and tape measure)Olympic Steel offers comprehensive benefits, including:Medical, dental, and vision benefitsPaid holidays and vacation401(k) with employer matchTuition reimbursement & Employee Discount ProgramsReferral programWe offer more than a competitive total compensation package.
