Senior Underwriter
Virtual Vocations Inc
Evaluating credit and property documents for loan files, the full-time Senior Underwriter will work remotely under Central Time Zone hours to make informed decisions on loan approvals, declines, or suspensions based on underwriting guidelines. Key responsibilities Review loan submissions and generate initial credit decisions in accordance with various investor guidelines Evaluate mortgage loan applications for eligibility and compliance with state and federal regulations Perform credit and property analysis, including the assessment of complex tax returns and timely reviews of loan conditions Required qualifications Government underwriting experience with CHUMS and/or SAR ID Extensive knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA underwriting requirements Five or more years of mortgage underwriting experience Current experience underwriting VA mortgage loans Direct Endorsement (DE) and/or LAPP/SAR certifications
