Program Manager

Voyager is a technology company focused on space, defense, and national security solutions. The Program Manager – Strategic Systems leads the execution of the company’s portfolio of programs across solid rocket motors, chemicals, and explosives, working with the chief engineer or lead engineer. Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive plans for a portfolio of 3‑10 projects, including scope, schedule, cost estimates, risk assessments, and resource requirements. Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams, clients, and government agencies, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project objectives. Monitor and manage project budgets and financials, ensuring adherence to financial targets and cost management throughout the project lifecycle. Manage and communicate scope changes, ensuring alignment with program goals and customer expectations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or management (or equivalent experience). 10 years of experience in project or supply chain management and operations. Experience managing defense or government projects. Experience negotiating contracts with vendors, suppliers, or customers. Experience with project management software to manage schedules and budgets. Travel, Physical, and Government Mandated Requirements Travel up to 30%, including the possibility of overnights, to customer sites, industry conferences, and program reviews. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. citizenship). Candidates must meet all eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain applicable state and federal explosives licenses, including minimum age requirements (21 and over), a drug‑free workplace in compliance with the Drug‑Free Workplace Act of 1988, Executive Order 12564, applicable DoD directives including DoD Instruction 1010.09 and DFARS View phone number on click.appcast.io and successful completion of any legally required background investigations. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. Compensation The good‑faith base salary range for this role is $170,000‑$200,000, which may be adjusted in the future.
