Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job

Overview Registered Nurse – PCU travel assignment in a hospital setting based in Atlanta, GA. Start date 08/17/2026 for a 13-week assignment with guaranteed 48 hours per week and a night shift schedule (2x4). Weekly pay range is $2,250 to $2,472. The unit is an IMCU/PCU with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, caring for acutely ill adults with conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, CKD, and related complex cases. Active RN license in Georgia and current BLS/ACLS certifications are required. A minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a high-acuity setting is expected. Key Highlights

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care for adults in an IMCU/PCU with high-acuity needs, including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, and CKD
• Monitor patients, perform assessments, interpret vital signs and lab data, and administer medications and IV therapies, including anticoagulation per protocol
• Manage heparin drips and other complex therapies with appropriate monitoring and documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, case management, pharmacy, and respiratory therapy to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Respond quickly to clinical changes, perform urgent interventions as needed, and document all care in the electronic health record
• Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and coordinated care transitions

Requirements

• Active RN license in Georgia
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in IMCU/PCU or equivalent high-acuity setting
• Ability to work night shift (2x4 nights)
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Comfort providing care in a hospital-based IMCU/PCU environment
